Game Review: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers

RPG; Nintendo 3DS; Atlus; 2013
Continuing my on going quest to reallocate all of my available funds directly towards Atlus, I have come to the 3rd longest game title I have ever run across: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers (oddly enough, the 2 longest game titles I've run across are also Devil Summoner games). This 3DS remake of a SEGA Saturn game that was later ported to the PSOne (Like most of the Saturn library), has never before been seen outside of Japan, namely because it was made during a time where playing a game about killing God and punching out the devil was thought to have been "too extreme" for US audiences. But now, one of the long lost entries in the famous Shin Megami Tensei series has finally hit US shores. Is it worth the wait?

Anime Review: Sunday Without God

Well, I've got a few reviews lined up. Finished watching R.O.D. both the OVA and the TV series, and also watched the latest masterpiece by Mamoru Hosoda (The director of The Girl who Leap Through Time and my personal favorite Summer Wars) Wolf Children. I also have just beaten Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers and am currently making my way through Kirby Mass Attack (I wanted to put a game in between Soul Hackers and Etrian Odyssey Untold so that I don't burn out on First Person dungeon crawlers as fast). But first this Sunday is going to be a Sunday Without God... Because that's the name of the anime I'm reviewing , not because I'm an Atheist or anything... I mean I am an Atheist but... Yeah, let's just get on with the review.

Game Review: DmC: Devil May Cry

Action; PS3, Xbox 360; Capcom/Ninja Theory; 2013
Well it happened. I played DmC: Devil May Cry. I have made my opinions clear about this "reboot" of one of my favorite action games of all time. The original Devil May Cry was one of the first PS2 games I played, and was the first PS2 game I owned. I played the hell out of the original game and Devil May Cry 3, and while Devil May Cry 4 had it's issues, I never regarded it as a bad game (It's just a game that once you've beaten it, it felt like you played it three times in a row). With the announcement of Devil may Cry: Devil May Cry, and all the stylistic changes that Ninja Theory has made to the classic series, my hopes and expectations for the game drop dramatically. But how good is this "Not" Devil May Cry game? Well....

Anime Review: Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~

It's a new year, which means the Earth has made another circuit around the sun, yay. And this year has been productive for Crescent Reviews. As of writing this post I have 3,581 views and have about 9 comments (half of which are my own). This is a lot more productive than last year where I only had 196 views and about... zero comments. To those how actually read my blog regularly thank you, and please leave more comments so that I know that you are there. And to those who don't read my blog, well you aren't here for me to talk to so never mind. Anyway, the first review of 2014 is an interesting one. It is an anime review of a movie based on a game... Yeah, those tend not to turn out good. Oh well, this time I'm reviewing Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~.
